As a fifth generation Minnesotan, I have learned and experienced the values that make this state the best place in the country to live and raise a family. Hard work, fairness and honesty are the backbone of these Minnesota Values. My wife Laura and I grew up together here. We went to school here and lived all of our 13 years of marriage as Minnesotans. Ten years ago, I started an architecture business in Saint Paul. Three years later, Laura began work as obstetrician in Stillwater, where she has delivered more than 1000 babies. As a father of three (Jane 1, Jack 6, Marta 7), we want the same opportunities and values for them that we grew up to expect from this great state. I am running for office to put these Minnesota Values back to work for us in Saint Paul. Putting Minnesota Values back to work means hope for all Minnesota kids. That optimistic idea is rooted in the firm belief that our hospitals, schools and companies are filled with the best nurses, doctors, teachers and workers in the world. Minnesota's heritage of excellence is worth preserving. Building on that strength will mean bringing out our best. If we draw upon a fraction of the sacrifice, generosity and toughness of those who have gone before us, we will deliver an even brighter promise of hope for our kids.
