Putting Minnesota Values back to work means protecting and growing high paying jobs to support families. It also means protecting family income from the burden of over-taxation.  Groundbreaking ceremony for Orth Retreat Center Minnesota’s economy is coming back from a recession that hurt us more than most parts of the country. When high-paying jobs leave the state, they often go to other states with lower taxes. Last Session, our Governor was pushed to raise taxes to balance the budget. Thankfully, Governor Pawlenty kept his word and balanced the budget without raising taxes. Now that the economy is rebounding, we will have another major decision.
