You can’t put Minnesota Values back to work if you can’t get home from work! In the past few years, commutes have gone from being a bother, to a nightmare.  I used to expect to find an accident at the end of a traffic jam. Not any more. It’s daily. In just four years, my commute time has increased about 30% for each rush hour. We are twenty years behind in our road and bridgework. House Republicans passed a bill last session to speed up almost a billion dollars of much-needed roadwork. We also need to be more innovative as we look ahead. As our population grows, we need to be able to accommodate that growth and allow people to live and work where they like. Any transportation solution should meet that test first. Sensible transportation solutions should reflect our local community’s desire to grow and change in unique ways.
